if you're in calfornia and have a relative that's planning to go to a church service this weekend: please try to get them to stop. there's this large effort to start having public services again, and it is not looking good, health-wise

the reason i don't believe that social distancing is going to happen, and that this is definitely a risk vector overall, is two-fold:

one, people are human. it's like what's been happening at beaches -- people's responses vary, the risk level varies, it just happens.

two, there's a whole thing about how singing in a group can possibly be an added risk factor. possibly (i'm guessing) because of the added force behind the air being pushed out, as well as people socializing, standing close to each other, and so on
