@madskjeldgaard i love sox, but i use audacity mostly to cutting long recordings of me percussing things into many shorter samples so a graphical interface is needed for that
@nonmateria I use Sox for this using the split by silence trick. It works really well if you haven't tried it (one of the tutorials is specifically about that https://madskjeldgaard.dk/posts/sox-tutorial-split-by-silence/ )
i'll try it out, i will be very happy if this works (even if it has a threshold i hope it will cut at the first zero-crossing, that's what i do)
@madskjeldgaard Sox and Audacity are different tools for different purposes. Both good (or at least, Audacity was until recently).
There are multiple Audacity forks which should satisfy needs for a GUI interactive audio editor.
