mission accomplished - heavy retouching of vocals using autotune controlled by midi score. it's now shiny and very unnatural. lovely! it fits the context and programme. this is really an audio equivalent of beauty filter on phone cameras.

oh and I learned some midi & piano roll in Ardour.

& thanks @x42

premiere day

i want to fix some things in audio still but otherwise we are ok

yesterday on the general rehearsal i fucked up because I pressed spacebar to stop the transport in but custom GUI (written n ) was active window and spacebar pressed the last pressed button which was playing the last cue and stopped it!

so yesterday night i found a way how to disable that. it won't happen anymore.

Almost finished with the rudimentary mastering of a compilation that is coming out in few days (yes, terrible promotion window, I know!). The compilation has an anti-consumerism aspect to it and it features some established slovenian underground names as well as couple of completely new noisemakers. M/F ratio 7/3. A very wide range of genres, as usual.

It's called FCKXMS.

Next month we are preparing a new release at - a netlabel day compilation called 'Access Frame: Equity'. We were quite successful with contacting local soundmakers and it's a 20-tracker of various electronic genres. Today I finished my contribution. It's made with various tools: and portable analogue cassette players.

It feels good!

Working on fixing the audio on a video recording of a dance show with a lot of silence and mostly quiet music, but also couple or three proper loud tracks. After exporting audio from mts file with ffmpeg i tried to get decent limiting done with sox but gave up at the end (any sox wizard around to explain compander effect parameters beyond manpage?) ended fixing everything nicely and comfy in with a CALF limiter. Will now reimport audio with ffmpeg and ->mp4.

exporting 6h recording from April's allnighter DJ set in 6 parts. will slowly trickle them into public in next few months.

Instead of giving a statement for the radio over the phone I rather recorded it and added some saturation and eq-ing and sent it to them.

Rehearsal for Wednesday. Ardour mashing old schlagers from Yugoslavia. CALF plug-ins. Creating a new number on a weird original mash-up music that combines Tchaikovsky Swan lake with samba and Balkan balalajka (!!) (will share that soon too)
